09 / GOOD TO KNOW

BEFORE YOU
ONE SESSION.

What is Hybrid Performance?+

Hybrid Performance combines strength and endurance for people with an existing training foundation. Sessions can include running, Row, Ski, Bike, Sled and strength or functional stations. Inspired by hybrid racing formats such as HYROX, the program develops performance under fatigue while reflecting your own goals and ability.

Should I join if I don't plan to race HYROX?+

Yes. You don't need a race entry to enjoy a challenging, well-rounded way to train. If you later choose to enter a hybrid race, you'll have a stronger foundation to build on.

Who is Hybrid Performance for?+

It suits people who already have basic strength technique and some ability to sustain continuous exercise. It is particularly relevant if you want to develop strength and endurance together, improve running and conditioning, prepare for hybrid racing or train for performance rather than appearance alone.

Is Hybrid suitable for complete beginners?+

We recommend building a foundation first. Hybrid Performance combines strength, running and conditioning under fatigue, which requires baseline technique and fitness. Strength & Technique is often a better starting point; your coach can help you move into Hybrid when you're ready.

What foundation do I need?+

You don't need to lift heavy, but should be reasonably comfortable with squat, hinge, push, pull and carry patterns, plus continuous cardio without losing control. Your coach assesses whether the program is right for you now.

Can I join if I'm not a strong runner?+

Yes, provided you have a basic training foundation. Your coach helps develop aerobic fitness and pacing alongside strength and conditioning. If your movement or cardio capacity needs more preparation, we may recommend foundational training first.

Will it be too intense?+

Hybrid Performance is demanding, but every session is not an all-out effort. Training phases develop strength, endurance, technique and work capacity, with intensity adapted to each person.

What happens in a typical session?+

Depending on the training phase, sessions may include running, Row, Ski, Bike, Sled Push/Pull, squat, hinge, push, pull, carry and functional conditioning. Your coach selects the work for that block; you won't do everything every time.

How do I know I'm progressing?+

We can track running, Row and Ski pace, strength and sled loads, workout times, consistent pacing, technique under fatigue and recovery between stations. Progress goes well beyond body weight or appearance.

Can I do Hybrid Performance in 1:1 or 1:2 sessions?+

Yes. Choose private 1:1, partner 1:2 or a group of up to four. Private sessions offer greater individualisation for specific goals. Small groups add shared energy and friendly competition at a lower cost than 1:1.

Can people of different abilities train in the same group?+

Yes, if everyone has the minimum foundation for Hybrid. Your coach can adjust loads, repetitions, pace and exercise variations within a shared session. If the gap is too large, foundational training may be recommended before joining a group.
